Translating evolving business needs into leadership capabilities that existed in the market.
The organization was going through a period of turnaround and transformation across Asia-Pacific and was considering the leadership capability required for its next phase.
Some of those needs did not fit neatly into conventional job descriptions. Leadership had a clear sense of the business challenges it wanted to solve and the impact new appointments needed to have, but the right combination of experience, capabilities and backgrounds was harder to define.
The task was therefore to turn relatively conceptual business requirements into a credible talent proposition: understanding what kind of leaders could deliver the desired impact, where those capabilities were likely to sit in the market and how best to reach them.
